Dr. Bill Millard, life explorer and a leading theorist in calling and purpose, has researched intrinsic motivation and individual uniqueness for over twenty-five years. Much of Bill's work has focused on individual, organizational and leadership behavior and development. He has helped thousands to understand their uniqueness, strengths, life plan, relationships with others, career possibilities and opportunities for service. His counsel and training have helped many organizations in mobilizing their workforce. Bill is a leader, teacher, seminar speaker, and advisor to other leaders. Bill's broad experience includes work with educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, churches, corporations and small businesses.

Bill has authored numerous publications on intrinsic motivations, workforce mobilization, servant leadership, strategic planning and change implementation. He is a public speaker and facilitator who has been heard nationally and internationally in seminars, weekend retreats, schools, radio broadcasts, professional conferences, business forums and community programs, working with groups of tens to audiences of 1000s. Bill is also a recognized research expert in the area of leadership and management of volunteer organizations. He earned his doctorate in management from Pepperdine University.
Bill has served as the President of Life Discovery, Inc. since its formation in 1989. In 1999 Bill accepted an invitation from Indiana Wesleyan University to lead out in the creation of a Center for Life Calling and Leadership. He currently serves as the Executive Director of that Center. He also teaches leadership and management at the university.
In spite of his broad academic achievement and recognized leadership, Bill's best-known characteristic is his down-to-earth, practical teaching.
Bill was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, lived the majority of his life in California. Bill met his wife, Anita, an RN, during their college studies in Massachusetts, where they were married after graduating. They currently live in Indiana and have two adult sons Eric and Stephen. |
