Life Discovery measures intrinsic motivation through a set of tools based on the Intrinsic Motivation Assessment Guide & Evaluation (IMAGE).
For over twenty-five years, IMAGE and its preceding versions have guided people on their unique journeys through life. IMAGE has served as a service compass, guiding individuals toward goals that fulfill them in response to people, situations and problems in the world. IMAGE has also helped people map out roles to adopt as they interact with others and gain a greater understanding of themselves.
There are an infinite number of differences among people. Scientists
can study infinity by organizing it into a finite number of categories and patterns. IMAGE accomplishes this by looking at seven categories of intrinsic motivation. This is not an attempt to fit people into a box. It is rather a method of helping people to discover general characteristics they share in common with other people.
